I too have the long MGOC brass ones. last time I put the manifold on I stripped two of them but they have been on and off a few times whilst designing supercharger. You need to use TQF. I buy Castrol. Unfortunately on the pricey side compared to cheaper ATF fluids (available MGOC, Opie oils and I guess others) but the information I have read, from several sources says that the standard type of ATF fluids nowadays can/will(?) degrade internal seals. I am trying to visualise what you mean by this please? are you saying bright, but the beam does not project as far ahead? or something else?

and mine...just finished painting engine bay . One thing i have not done is check my rocker alignment and I should do as I have skimmed, decked, renewed rockers (stock), added a cometic for s/c and changed cam. I have found that the hi perf Osram and Phillips bulbs give good light, but the bulb lifetime suffers - a lot.
seem to be replacing one every year. and i never drive at night. always MOT time....
