Re: Changing temperature gauge type

This has made me wonder about the very inexpensive replica Smiths gauges that have been popping up on Ebay. I wonder if one of these might be worth exploring for this especially if the original face and perhaps bezel were fitted to the replica gauge ?

Jubilee wheels ?

I spotted a set of 'Jubilee' MGB wheels for sale on Ebay. To my untutored eye they look like V8 wheels though the seller has commented they are similar but not the same. Re: MGB Bedouin

It does sound as though it will be a fantastic B to own and drive.
A large sum of money to commit but then it will be a new car and a classic in one. Something you could use everyday if you wished and it will always put a smile on your face.

Re: Re-shell and DVLA

Were you intending on retaining the original registration (benefits being no annual MOT and no cost for road tax) or as a new vehicle (benefit being a new registration no but disbenefits + more hoops to jump through) ?

Draining fuel

To try and keep up my enthusiasm on working on the car in these temperatures it would be good to get the engine started. I remember it started and ran when I first refitted the engine after tidying the engine bay but that was a few years ago now. What is the consensus on draining old fuel. Is it wor...
