Re: Wiper Problems
Just some general observations - I hardly use my wipers as they are so inefficient (but don't let that make you dismiss the advice below!!). The quality of the rubber is paramount if you want to avoid judder. I've always found Bosch to be good, or the best! Poor quality judders. For the contact with...

Re: Fitting inertia real seat belts to a roadster
Michael, I guess you will already know this, but there have been issues in the past over installations which did not have the correct orientation to permit self locking of the belt when required. Most standard installations have the reel placed fairly high up on a door pillar - not possible on an MG...

Re: New steering rack fitted but column touches chassis
One thing you need to be aware of: there are different methods for alignment in the various manual editions.
One of these involves the use of pointers attached to the meeting ends of rack and column. I have never used this method - seemed designed for later Bs - and it seems quite impractical.

Re: New steering rack fitted but column touches chassis
I've just had a look at my 72 BGT. The column passes the side chassis with a clearance of circa 2-3 mm. There is a stage of mounting the rack which involves shims under the rack mounts. This is to ensure that everything aligns with no sideways forces. You must follow this and insert the shims as req...
