Re: Engine rebuild

Re: Taller suspension for a trials MGB
Hi Peter, Yeah that's the one! We will be competing in events such as the Exeter Trial. I helped marshal at the VSCC Exmoor Fringe Trial and have been looking for an Austin 7 since then. Unfortunately, the ulster style ones and specials that i like are a bit over my budget. I trialed an austin 7 top...

Taller suspension for a trials MGB
Hi Guys, My father and I want to do some trials events and would love to do it in a B GT. We would start with a rubber bumper car as its taller in the first place, but does anyone know how we could heighten it some more? Is there anywhere that we can purchase springs that increase the ride height? O...

Re: Kangol Seat-belts - Bargain?
Thanks for the replies.
My B already has inertia seat-belts fitted, so i can use the mounting points that are already in place. They are most definitely unused NOS parts so i'm confident in their usability.
I will check them out properly upon receipt and will decide thereafter.
Thanks,
Harry.

Kangol Seat-belts - Bargain?
Hi Guys, I just picked up a set of new-old stock Kangol seat-belts (retractable) on eBay for £25. They look in perfect condition (see image) and they'll be going on my '73. Can anyone tell me whether they would have been original to my '73 GT? Also, do you think £25 was a good price? Cheers! Harry. ...

Wow, awesome work!! ill need to do a similar job (albeit, not quite as extensive). I have been following Marks work on the MGEXP forum, he did a very nice repair patch. he does seem like a metal working wizard though... link below (page 19 and on for a few pages). https://www.mgexp.com/forum/mgb-and...

Re: HS6 carbs + accompanying modifications.
Hi Ian, Yeah, my thoughts exactly! I have Peter Burgess' book arriving next week so im looking forward to giving it a read! Did you physically do the porting yourself? if so, was it somewhat easy to do? What sort of tools did you need? (im sure it will say in Peter's book but may as well ask whilst ...
