Re: '73 MGB GT Tachometer

Hi Vic, In my Haynes manual, I have looked at the wiring diagram for my year of car and it definitely says that it plugs into the voltage stabiliser. Furthermore, when i unplug the single green spade connector from the voltage stabiliser, the tacho acts as if the green cable inst plugged into the ba...

Re: '73 MGB GT Tachometer

Hi Peter, Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for sharing that link, it looks like a brilliant source of information! Unfortunately i am still having a problem with my tachometer, i just cannot figure out what is happening. Any other suggestions? Or do you think my best bet will be to see if i can f...

Re: MGB GT Catch Can

Thank you both! Ian, when you say it was previously vented to the atmosphere, do you mean that the breather pipe literally went down and out rather than into the carburettors? Has anyone done this and/or recommend doing this to an MGB? I don't like the thought of all that ...

Re: '73 MGB GT Tachometer

Hi Peter, Thank you very much for your reply! Yeah all the other instruments seem to be working fine, so may be able to rule out the stabiliser. It does say RVC on the front as it was made in the 2nd half to 73, and i believe RVI was phased out in the beginning of 73? I will have a word with Speedyc...

'73 MGB GT Tachometer

Hi Guys, Quick question for you all. The tachometer hasn't been working on my 73 GT so I thought I would take a look today. Both the bullet connector and the green spade connector were unplugged. After plugging in the green spade connector, when I turn on the ignition/engine on, the tachometer flick...
