if you can find a wheeler dealers edition of MGA (one of the USA ones) they do that exact modification of old style scroll to 'new' style seal.

See my comments on my Steelcraft experience in recent Oil pressure hose thread.
I would try to see one first if I were you.

I would also add - Steelcraft. From Bmh-ltd.com, "Panels and assemblies are supplied primed in Electrophoretic paint." From http://www.bmhweb.co.uk/steelcraft/about.htm "Steelcraft panels are manufactured in the UK by Taylor Pressform Ltd. Since production started, in 1974, developments in manufactu...

Re: Front wing removal MGB GT
Took mine off just last week. There is potentially a small difference to roadster. All bolts are straightforward (assuming no shearing...) apart from the top x3 you have identified. Impact driver useful. There are 3 holes. The one to the front is accessible, allbeit awkward at driver side, but I got...

Re: Indicators stopped working - '72 roadster
same symptoms - happened to me - just recently. mine was intermittent and drove me mad.
the connector on the hazard switch had worked loose and pin7 was making/breaking the circuit for indicators, but hazzards were fine.

Re: Why Won't She Turn Over and Start
you can by-pass the ignition switch by hotwiring it.
*make sure you are in neutral*
white with brown wire from relay. touch to bottom fuse to turn engine.
to start it, connect bottom fuse to second up, touch with same wire.

Lucas caps/rotors do not fit the 123. Pity as they are far cheaper.

Re: Largest Engine Capacity.
6.9L Cadillac Seville.
Many years ago in Boston. I ordered a sub-compact but it was all they had left when I went to collect.
Red leather, chrome a plenty. Real pimp car.
Sounded good. About the only good thing about it.
