Hi Charles, yes i followed your advice to cut a thin slice out of the grommets, put them around the hoses and eased them into place with a large flat d screwdriver. The lower duct arrived quickly and was very straightforward to fit. Its in durable ABS plastic and just looks right now fitted around the new oil cooler

The new oil cooler and pipes are in. An absolute breeze to fit after the unnecessary struggle of trying to work with the wrong hose.

Thanks Charles. That hose is definitely wrong and the thread on the oil cooler is now damaged. Il order replacements for both
