Moss 3K uprated heater
I have specified a Moss 3K uprated heater for my new heritage/new build MGB from CCHL. I have not had an MGB for 50 years and a 75 year old wants to keep warm with the hood down. Has anyone ever bought this item, as rather expensive, so it better be good!

No I've no experience of that unit, although I have seen it before. It is made by Clayton Classics (http://claytonclassics.co.uk/parts-upgr ... mgb-c-gtv8) and is a bit deeper than the standard unit as I understand it. This can lead to clearance issues on the factory V8 with the air box on the carbs, but should be fine with an 1800 car.
Paul Hunt has lots to say about heaters on his excellent web site http://mgb-stuff.org.uk/heatertext.htm
I'm only three years younger than you so I will be interested to hear how it works once you have the car finished. My V8 GT conversion can keep me warm enough, but I haven't used a roadster for years and am building one now - a standard 1800 this time.
