Re: MGB Tacho (Rev counter)

Andrew,
I have had a 123 electronic distributor fitted to my 1972 MGB for about 10 years.
I have not had problems with my tachometer type RV1 2430/00, negative earth.
Regards,
David.

How do you rate the performance of the tubeless wire wheels after a further year of use?

Re: Battery chargers/conditioners - best buy?

Ian,
I have had a CTEK XS3600 for years and have been pleased with its performance.
I recently bought the updated version CTEK MXS3.6, as an additional charger, via the MGCC shop.

David.

Re: Engine Oil

Paul,
I have been using Morris Golden Film Sports Classic 15w/50, recently. It has an API rating of SG.
I purchased 4x5 litres from a local oil distributor at cost of about £20 per 5 litres.
Regards,
David.

Re: MGB shipping for an overseas touring holiday

Ian,
At the MGC50 event in June there was an MGC there that the owner had shipped from New Zealand, for the event.
The MGC register may have his contact details, or MGCC New Zealand may know him.

Re: 1970 MGB GT Interior Light.

Paul, My 1968 CGT interior lights operate as you describe with the door switches operating the light above the luggage area and the map light at the LHS of the dash operated by a push / pull switch. According to Clausager a change was made from late 1970 for the 1971 model year BGT whereby the door ...
