Re: Running on suddenly.

The optimum position for the vacuum take off is on the carburettor body on the sir filter side of the throttle disc. The rubber bumper cars having it on the inlet manifold was something to do with the then ECE15 emissions regulations. When I bought my 1977 BGT in 1979 it had an ECE15 sticker on the ...

Re: Insurance

I insured my 1975 Series 3 Land Rover with them for the first time. last October. The policy is with Hiscox and is the same format as the MG one .
The premium for the Land Rover is £97 and a few pence for 3,000 miles and agreed valuation of £6,000, and free breakdown cover.

I've been with Peter Best since the late 1980'd and the premium on the MG had always been fair. Last year I insured the Land Rover with them for under £100, agreed valuation £6,000 and 3,000 miles. Their breakdown recovery is free unlike most other companies.. Has the MGCC broken off their long ties...

Re: Windscreen wipers

I'd check the wipers switch. It seems that it's permanently on . Is it a column switch or on the dash?

Re: LED Headlight Bulbs

Thanks Paul. I've read it now. I've got LED headlight bulbs in the Land Rover. I haven't driven it in darkness yet.

LED Headlight Bulbs

The ban on fitting LED headlight bulbs to standard headlight assemblies has been amended. Now, vehicles first used before 1/4/86 can have them fitted and will not incur an MOT failure provided the headlight aim is ok.

Re: MOT Exemption.

If the DVLA records show "No results Returned" in a green box then the vehicle is MOT exempt.
