Thanks Paul. I've read it now. I've got LED headlight bulbs in the Land Rover. I haven't driven it in darkness yet.

LED Headlight Bulbs

The ban on fitting LED headlight bulbs to standard headlight assemblies has been amended. Now, vehicles first used before 1/4/86 can have them fitted and will not incur an MOT failure provided the headlight aim is ok.

If the DVLA records show "No results Returned" in a green box then the vehicle is MOT exempt.

Don't use the Cortina coil as it's 12 volts. Your MG is 6 volts as Charles has already said. This problem cropped up a few months ago on this forum so it might be worth finding it. The standard replacement water pump for an engine with the number starting 18V, is GWP.130. . Your car should have an 18V engine as that was what the original fitment was unless it's been changed at some time.

First, check the oil level in the gearbox. A low level.csn cause overdrive engagement problems. If that's ok remove the switch and with it switched on, check for battery voltage on both terminals. No, the LE wheels are nothing like Jubilee wheels. The Triumph Stag alloy wheels are the nearest look alike to LE ones. They're not interchangeable as the Stag wheels have a different offset
