Re: Alloy wheel centres MG logo

Martin, you may know this already, but the hole in the MGB rostyle wheel is circa 5.5cm, and the cap with the MG logo is just over 6cm. You may be able to get these to fit with some additional material? Ideally find someone with these wheels and test fit one of the caps. I am guessing you mean Minil...

If the engine is running on it suggests you have created hot spots capable of ignition of fuel which continues to be drawn into the chambers. Ignition which is too advanced or too retarded could do this in my opinion. I would simply try more retardation and see if that works. I wouldn't advance bey...

Re: Insurance

You may well be correct Paul, I regret I was just being lazy and should have said "an officer of the club" rather than Director. I had many years of excellent service from PB in the past, my only problem has been that I discovered earlier this year, that a policy I had with them supposedly...

Re: Insurance

Hi Vic. I think the only ties with Peter Best were because PB himself was a Director of MGCC? Since PB retired from his business and sold it on, it does seem to have changed, not necessarily for the better. Just my opinion of course, but after many years with them I am now switching to another insur...

Re: Window Winder Handles

Mike, the original washers fitted around the outside of the underneath of the handle, and prevented a direct contact of the handle on the door card. They weren't between the handle and the hexagon.
Apologies if you know all that already!
