Jumping out of reverse

One of my B's jumps out of reverse. Presumably work selectors. Can this be sorted without taking the engine and gearbox out?

First make sure the gear lever isn't fouling on the edge of the hole in the tunnel. If it can't go right back, it could cause jumping out of gear.
