Struts for fibreglass bonnets ?

Has anyone here used a fibreglass bonnet and worked out the best way to support it when open ?

Not that mine seems to flex noticeably more than the old steel bonnet when it is supported on one side but I thought it would probably be sensible to give it a support at both sides. Its not going to be practical to just add a 2nd original locking stay on the right as I'd then need 3 hands to release both sides and let the bonnet down.

I contacted the MGB Hive about their gas struts but was told theirs arent suitable for fibreglass or aluminium bonnets due to the reduced weight loading.
