Replacing foam seat pad

Post by Steven collins »

The drivers seat pad on my ‘66 B is in need of changing, can you do this without separating the back of the chair from the seat?
The seats are Mk2 recliners with headrests.
Many thanks
Steve.

Steve, it's a good while since I did this but I recollect I did both seat and seat back without separating the frame members. The covers are held with large round spring clips at the back tube and other fixings elsewhere (hog rings I think?)

Thank Ian,
Going to remove the seat later this week, need to fettle the runner locking mechanism as well as it only works in 2 places and both of them are wrong for my little legs!!
