I am looking at replacing the copper pipe that runs from the fuel tank to the pump on my 1973 GT. Access is good at the moment, as the brake backplate is off. Any tips for accomplishing the job with minimal stress and swearing would be gratefully received.

Re: Replacing tank to pump fuel pipe
I did mine a few month ago, take the old one out and if it is still in good shape use it as a template by shaping the new one as you follow the shape of the old one. Copper is pretty malleable so you won't need any tools other than your hands. be gentle though, you don't want to create any kinks that may break the new pipe.Fitting it back in was a bit of a faf but doable in a few minutes.
