Hunting down my dads old car GPW 261N

Hi guys,

It’s a long shot, but I’m trying to locate my dad’s old car. He owned many an MGB in his lifetime and one stuck in my mind, his GT V8. It became a 4.6ltr V8 and was tuned by his mate who raced TVRs. It was a beast.
Sadly he died 7 years ago and I’ve got many fond memories of this particular car. In a similar vein, I managed to track down his old Landy and that’s now sat on my drive. I’d love to buy his MG one day.
It’s taxed so still out there. The reg number is GPW 261N. It was last sold in April 2015. He sold it a few years before this, I think. He lived in Gosberton near Spalding.

Does anyone know this car?

Regardless, I’ll be adding a B to my collection one day.

Have you tried the V8 Register of the MG Car Club - thats where most V8 Bs hang out

The Register will be able to say if the car is registed with the Register but not who owns it.

Ask if a they could send a message to the current owner informing them of your interest.

That's a great suggestion. The V8 Register is probably the best place to start and asking them to pass your message to the owner is a smart approach.
