London - Sydney Rally 1968

An interesting film - although not the best quality pictures. Jean Denton's MGB features quite a lot, with first shots at about 1m20s in.

Hi Pete. Happy New Year
We had this video on the stand at MG Live with permission of Colin's son. It is the best one we have seen of the event.

Hi John
Interesting the car was gold with black bonnet. Is the plan to repaint it when the bodywork is finished?

Peter
Yes the plan is to paint it in Marathon colours with hopefully most of the original sponsors adverts.

A works hardtop has been donated - currently sitting on John Watson's MGB

We will be looking for sponsorship for the paint work so if you know anyone......

Hopefully it will be at the restoration show with engine/gearbox/overdrive installed in a refreshed engine bay

That's a great film; really captures the atmosphere of the period :-)
