SOLD Rover 3.5 V8 engine and LT77 gearbox. Offers ?

I have a Rover 3.5 engine from an SD1 in my garage gathering dust. It seemed a good idea at the time for an engine transplant but given how long it takes to get anything done I'd rather have the space back. It was from a running SD1 and was carefully dismantled by the previous owner and all parts put in crates and boxes. I was told everything is there, it certainly looks to be from my own checks. It has the original big carbs and manifold which of course wont fit under the bonnet of an MGB plus exhaust manifolds etc.

There is also an LT77 gearbox that is to go. This is a 'long stick' version as it was apparently from an ambulance but i think a short gearstick can be fitted without much bother. No idea about gear ratios other than its a 5 speed.

So, please can you put the word around. Price - it's not really about price its about lack of hassle to me. If someone will only want it if it's all fully reassembled, gift wrapped and posted to their house at a time they are guaranteed to be in and not watching anything interesting on the telly - then its £ loads, as im just not interested in doing that.

But if someone practical wants to pop down to collect it in an estate car or van and brings gloves ready to help with the lifting, then they can have it for a relatively small amount we can negotiate.

Engine identification 11A51986 defines it as a standard Rover V8 as fitted to an automatic SD1.
